These are some cool, geeky Barolo!
They are all single vineyard Barolo
Vigna = vineyard, follow by the name of the vineyard.
They are all old, original vine, hence they want to show case the difference in them. Vigna del Gris were planted in 1978, Vigna Pressenda were planted in 1969, Vigna Ped were planted in 1950!!
Each are super small production...
Del Gris = 875 cases made
Pressenda = 333 cases made
Ped = 433 cases made
In a Nutshell,
Ginestra Vigna del Gris is elegant, polished and delicate, lots of rose petal and floral notes.
Castelletto Vigna Pressenda is pleasantly fragrant and refined with grace and elegance, balanced, and solid.
And finally, Mosconi Vigna Ped is decisive, muscular, and makes a statement, also with the most firm, structured tannins.
Each Barolo is balanced, complex, extracted and perfectly ageable, because they use 100% new French oak for 24 months, the wines are drinking well already, but can age 10+ years too if you have the patience!
